"The Printar" is a musical instrument and/or writing device. It combines an old MIDI keyboard with an equally old dot matrix printer. When a key is pressed, the corresponding letter is printed on the printer. Dot matrix printers produce different sounds depending on the letter. Therefore, the device can be used for writing text on paper as well as for sound generation. The aim is to create an interface between poetry, instrument and performance.
